Day 3-5 Chemo, Phase 1

Abang Khalis & Mu'az come and visit Danish today. They are very excited, each of them putting their face masks which Mama has bought for them, as to avoid any virus from spreading from or to them, as they are in the hospital area. Danish is surely excited too! All of you straightaway hugging each other! And of course Mama missed Khalis & Mu'az too as it has been awhile since Mama is away at the hospital. Mama couldn't wait for all of us to be reunited again!!

As to Mama's surprise, Khalis & Mu'az has a new look! Abah has shaved all their hair last nite, which Khalis has longed asked for this style haha..

Last nite suddenly Abah called Mama and informed that Mu'az is having fever, and the temperature is quite high at 39.3 degree celcius. Straightaway Mama is in tears, so worried, as both my sons is sick at the same time but in different places. Abah come and stayed with Danish while Mama went back home and took care of Mu'az. The whole day today Mama monitored Mu'az temperature. The good thing is Mu'az is still very active while having some temperature. Mama took this opportunity too prepare for Abang Khalis first day of school tomorrow after a 2 weeks mid-year school holiday. That night, Mu'az is all well, with no fever, mashaAllah syukur Alhamdulillah Ya Allah.. Allah is the Almighty. Abah also updated that Danish is doing well too at the hospital. And today is actually Fathers Day and a University Malaya student came and helped Danish to prepare Fathers Day card specially for Abah!

His plan is always the best of course. A little test from Him, for all of us to remembered Him more. Luckily Mama can have some rest at home, spend some quality time with Khalis & Mu'az, and prepare for Khalis's schooling tomorrow. And Danish can spend Fathers Day with Abah.

15 June 2015, Monday

Today Mama has the opportunity to send Abang Khalis to school. On the way to school Abang Khalis told Mama that this coming Wednesday is his birthday! Abang Khalis wanted to bring some party packs to his friends, and he is hoping that he could give some superhero Lego to his friends. Okay, Mama loves the idea!

So later that day, Mama & Mu'sz is in a mission to prepare Abang Khalis's party pack! Yey, we manage to get everything ready Alhamdulillah...

Blood taking is a routine 3-4 times a day, to check on various things like uric acid in blood, hemoglobin count etc. This is one of the scarriest experience for Danish. But the doctors here are quite well trained and experienced with children hence they tried to make it like a fun activity e.g. experiment. They even tought Danish on the procedures and gave him to try some safe procedures. And here's Danish with his favourite Superman Doctor, Doctor Zhafry!

Day 1 Chemo, Phase 1

Today is Day 1 Danish akan start chemo treatment. Mama bagitahu Danish tentang Chemoteraphy & Danish tanya macam-macam soalan! As always Danish excited belajar new things. May Allah ease Danish ye..

Hari ni dari pagi Danish berselera, macam-macam minta Mama belikan, macam-macam Danish makan; makan roti, blueberry tart, apple pie, mee goreng..lepas tu Abah pulak datang bawa apa yang Danish pesan dari malam tadi, Danish nak makan cereal. Dua mangkuk habis. Good boy. Then Danish minta Abah tolong main game Plants vs Zombie dalam ipad. Hmm best la Abah boleh main game.

Mama minta Abah balik dulu, sebab ada few things Abah kena settlekan kat rumah, preparation untuk Danish balik nanti. Semua carpet kat rumah Abah dah lipat masuk kereta, nak bagi Ummi guna. Tak nak ada carpet dah kat rumah, so nanti senang nak mop disinfect lantai & takut habuk. Lepas Abah balik, Danish tanya Mama, kawan-kawan Mama ada tak akan datang visit Danish hari ni? Haha Danish suka sebab nanti dapat hadiah. Tiba-tiba Cik Mi datang ziarah, bawa kemeja dari Jakarta untuk Danish. Happy Danish. Then kawan Danish, Faiz, Abg Farouq, Abang Farhan & Aunty Farizah datang. Wah, seronok Danish.

Pukul 5pm Nurse datang untuk start 1st Chemo treatment for Danish:

Mama start berdebar-debar. Doa, baca Quran..bismillah.. May Allah ease anak Mama & hoping side effects ubat ni tak menjejaskan Danish sangat. Sebaik sahaja ubat mula masuk ke salur darah, Danish mula bagitahu rasa perut tak selesa & tekak rasa pelik. Sabar Sayang..Mama minta Danish tidur, sekejap je Danish pun tertidur. Alhamdulillah..tapi agaknya ubat ni buat Danish letih.

Selepas satu jam Danish terjaga dan minta mahu ke tandas. Selepas itu Danish lapar lagi dan makan chicken porridge pula dengan berselara. Then Danish mula ceria seperti biasa, main ipad dan minta Mama tunjukkan Periwinkle Flower (Vincristine comes from a type of flower called Periwinkle). Alhamdulillah Allah permudahkan Danish semasa treatment  ni..syukur Allah..tak ada nausea or vomitting yet..tak ada hilang selera makan dan ceria seperti biasa lagi...Alhamdulillah..

Tapi kemudian dalam pukul 9pm Danish mula rasa letih. Dia kata dia rasa pelik..Rasa lembik, eyelid mcm berat, pening & sakit kepala. Lepas tu bibir dia rasa a bit numb & kaki macam tinggling. Terus panggil nurse, check temperature dah meningkat 38° & blood pressure tinggi 127/94. A normal BP for him is 90/55. Nurse bagi paracetamol, dan sekarang alhamdulillah temperature dah turun kepada 36.7° & BP okay 95/65 & to be checked hourly. Danish dah tidur ni. Rupanya bukan semudah yang dijangka. Kebergantungan sepenuhnya kepada Allah swt.

Semoga hari-hari seterusnya diberi kemudahan oleh Allah. Stay strong Danish.
